But missing your normal routine doesn't mean you have to rule out moving your body entirely.

Getting some form of movement in the morning is crucial. A quick morning stretch actively lubricates your joints, jumpstarts your blood flow, and releases lingering overnight muscle tension. Even better, it acts as a natural wake-up call, shaking off the grogginess and leaving you sharper and more alert for the day ahead.

To help you get moving without leaving the house the fitness team from Lane Cove has put together this guide:

Between freezing weather outside and packed daily schedules, finding the time or motivation to get to the gym can sometimes feel tough. But skipping your movement entirely doesn't have to be the alternative.

You don't need a lot of time or equipment to stay active a short simple home workout is enough to boost your mood and metabolism when you can't make it to the gym. To exercise safely at home, always follow these three golden rules:

Warm up: Spend 2–3 minutes doing gentle movements to prep your muscles and prevent injury.

Cool down: Lower your heart rate safely with light stretching and deep breathing to avoid feeling dizzy or tight.

Focus on form: Never guess how to do an exercise. If you are unsure about proper technique, ask a gym staff member for help next time you visit.

15-Minute At-Home Mobility Workout

Work Time: 45 seconds per exercise

Rest Time: 15 seconds between exercises

Total Rounds: 3

Rest between rounds: None (the 15-second transition period remains the same)

The Exercises (In Order)

1.
